Campbell sent down to AHL after struggling with Oilers
The Edmonton Oilers have recalled goalie Calvin Pickard from the American Hockey League (AHL) after Jack Campbell cleared waivers on Monday. Campbell was sent down to the AHL on October 8 after struggling with the Oilers, posting a 4.44 goals-against average and a .875 save percentage in three games.
In three games with the AHL's Bakersfield Condors, Campbell allowed 12 goals on 104 shots for a .885 save percentage.
Pickard, 26, has a 3.13 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage in 11 games with the Condors this season.
The Oilers are set to open their season on Wednesday night at home against the Calgary Flames.
