England has etched its name in cricket history by setting a new world record for the highest score in One Day International (ODI) cricket. The team's remarkable 498-4 against the Netherlands in Amstelveen on June 17, 2022, surpassed its previous record of 481-6 set against Australia in 2018.

The Dutch batsmen put up a valiant fight, scoring 266 runs in response to England's massive total. However, the English bowlers proved too strong, dismissing the Netherlands for 232, handing England a resounding 232-run victory.
Jos Buttler led England's batting onslaught, smashing 162 runs from just 70 deliveries. Dawid Malan (125) and Phil Salt (122) also chipped in with centuries, while Liam Livingstone contributed a quick-fire 66 off 22 balls.
